The “Church” Trilogy

In October and November 2013 I preached three sermons, all of which had the word “church” in their titles.  The first two I had intended to be a pair, responding to some uninformed ideas about Unitarian Universalism in “The Church of Last Resort?” (Oct. 20th) before addressing our visions of and for ourselves (both as a faith and as a congregation) in “The Church of First Resort!” (Oct. 27th)  My next sermon turned out to be a part three, however, when I turned to the subject of our good news in “Bring a Friend to Church!” (Nov. 3rd)  Since a few people had already asked about getting the texts for these sermons, I thought I’d group them together with an obvious name!
